Today was a good day. I have to tell you -- when I woke up this morning, I felt like it was bound to not go in my favor. I was printing off some last minute things for my Brush Lettering Workshop and my printer ran out of ink. Then I was running late. I was carrying my supplies out to my car, and my bag handle broke (it was one of those .99 cent bags from Marshalls, so I shouldn't have been surprised). In attempt to save my bag, I put my pretty much brand new iPad on top of my car.
I finally got my car loaded -- then I drove off. Notice I didn't say that I grabbed my iPad from on top of my car. I was less than a half mile down the road, when I frantically called my boyfriend to see if it was at the house. Nope, he insisted he wasn't there. I turned around retracing my drive -- and as I'm pulling up the hill towards my street, I can see a little turquoise spot in the middle of the road. There is was. My almost brand new iPad it it's brand new (literally. Amazon delivered it TODAY) case. But, it survived. Just a little knick on the top.
At that moment, I decided I wasn't going to let this day be bad. I headed to The Neighborhood Flea to get set up for my workshop. I had five awesome ladies there excited to learn brush lettering. It's a pretty amazing feeling getting to share your passion with other people. The weather was beautiful and everyone had a wonderful time. So, in honor of this good day, I'm going to share a piece of my Brush Lettering Workbook with you! If you're in the Pittsburgh area and interested in learning more about brush lettering -- be sure to sign up for my next workshop!
